Angel of Hope Memorial
We are sorry for the reason you need The Compassionate Friends - but we are glad you found us. Whether the child you mourn died before birth, as an infant, child, teen, or adult, the grief you experience is very difficult.
The reason we have erected the Angel of Hope Memorial is to provide a special place where families may remember and grieve the special child that has died.
The original 189 bricks have been engraved so we have reached the time to add to the walls at the memorial. Plans are being made and we are raising the funds we need to do this. Our hope is to have the additional walls completed during the summer of 2009.
One of the ways we raised funds for the original walls was through the sale of the bricks. If you would like more information on the Angel of Hope you can contact Paulette Wiley (information below) and she will send it to you.
The cost of each brick is $125.00. You can request an order form through Paulette. You may put whatever you choose on the brick, staying with in the length of the guidelines (three lines with 16 characters per line including spaces and any other characters like dashes.
Once you get an order form from Paulette, you can complete it and send it back to her. Include your $125.00. Your brick will be part of the new wall. We will keep you informed of the progress of the new wall through the Compassionate Friends Newsletter (sent quarterly). If you are not on the mailing list for the newsletter, please let Paulette know.

New Support Group in our Area
There is a new support group in our area which offers support for those who have lost a loved one through suicide. The grief that follows suicide is extremely difficult. The survivor must grieve not only the loss, but also the choice that caused that loss.
The support group is called Heartbeat and it meets the second Tuesday of each month at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Spicer from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
If you would like additional information you can contact Pamela Taylor on 320-354-4768 or Janae Rambow on 320-354-5182.
